Greek Australian Nick Kyrgios's fire has trumped Milos Raonic's ice with the Australian tennis showman turning up the heat to blast his way into the last 16 at Wimbledon.
Kyrgios out-aced the game's most explosive server 34 winners to 18 in upsetting the seventh seed 5-7 7-5 7-6 (7-3) 6-3 in a high-quality third-round encounter on Friday.
His sweet revenge after falling to the Canadian in an equally competitive four-set quarter-final last year earned Kyrgios a return stoush on Monday with Richard Gasquet.
It was against the Frenchman in last year's second round that Kyrgios announced his arrival as a grand slam force when he saved a record nine match points before going on to gun down Rafael Nadal in round four.
Now Gasquet again stands in his way after Kyrgios produced some magical and, at times insane, tennis to surge into the fourth round.
All up, the 26th seed hammered 61 clean winners and made just 13 unforced errors in two hours and 42 minutes in a stunning display on Show Court Two.
