Olympiakos have made Hull City’s Nikica Jelavic their go-to replacement for the departed Kostas Mitroglou, who has returned to Fulham from a loan spell.
Jelavic was the Tigers top scorer last season with eight Premier League goals despite only playing 26 games due to several injuries throughout the course of the campaign.
The 29 year-old has been at the KC Stadium for the past two seasons since joining from Merseyside club Everton where he enjoyed mixed fortunes.
Scoring nine goals in his first 13 league games much was thought of the striker, but a record of seven goals in 46 games following his debut season led to his move to the Tigers.
An SPL Champion with Rangers, Jelavic made a name for himself while with the Scottish club as he scored 30 league goals in 45 games during a two year stint at the Ibrox Stadium.
Jelavic had previously played in in home-land of Croatia for Hadjuk Split, Belgium for Zulte Waragem and in Austria for Rapid Wien.
