Djamel Abdoun joins Greek side Veria

Nottingham Forest got rid of one of their high-earning players last week, when Djamel Abdoun was given his marching orders by the club.
The Algerian was released on the same day as fan favourite Radoslaw Majewski, and the reaction to the releases could not have been met with more differing reactions.
Now, after being released by Forest last Thursday, he finally has a new club – although this deal has been in the pipeline for some time.
In the immediate aftermath of the release of Abdoun it was reported in Algeria that he was all set to head back to Greece with Veria FC. That move has now been confirmed.
The club signed the player on a two-year contract late last night, completing a quick six day turnaround for Abdoun. The Greek side confirmed the move and posted a picture of him with the club shirt on their official website and also confirmed the move on their official Twitter account.
Abdoun has previous in Greece. He was at Kavala and Olympiakos prior to his Forest move, spending three years in Greece before heading to England.
Veria finished 15th in the Greek Superleague last season and will be hoping to finish higher up the       table this time around.
